Privacy

What this site collects about you, and what I do with it.

Who is responsible

I’m Adina Cretu, and I run this site from Sweden. I decide how the data described on this page is used. If you have a question about it, send me a message.

When you send me a message

The contact form asks for your first name, last name, email address and message. I use them to read what you wrote and to reply. I don’t use them for anything else, and I don’t pass them on. The legal ground is my legitimate interest in answering people who write to me.

The form runs on Formward, a service from EGF Fastighetsservice AB in Sweden. Formward stores your message on servers in Sweden for 30 days and emails a preview of it to my email inbox. Formward states that by default it doesn’t transfer form messages outside the EU or EEA. For details, read Formward’s privacy policy.

Password-protected case studies

When you enter the right password, the site saves two cookies in your browser, case_access and case_ok. They keep the case studies open for 30 days, so you don’t have to enter the password on every page. They hold no personal details and aren’t used to track you. The site needs them to give you the access you asked for, so it doesn’t ask for consent first.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It runs only if you choose Allow in the note at the bottom of the page. Until then, the site sends nothing to Google. The legal ground is your consent.

If you allow it, Google Analytics sets two cookies: _ga, and one whose name starts with _ga_. Each lasts up to 2 years. Google states that it doesn’t log or store the IP addresses of visitors in the EU. For details, read Google’s page on EU data and privacy in Analytics.

Your choice is saved in your browser under the name analytics-choice. To change it, select “Analytics settings” at the bottom of any page. If you decline after allowing, the site stops measuring and removes the two cookies.

In my account, Google Analytics keeps data about single visits for 2 months. It keeps data linked to a visitor’s cookie for 14 months, counted from that visitor’s latest visit.

Hosting

Vercel Inc., a company in the United States, hosts this site. To deliver a page, Vercel receives your IP address, a location derived from it and details about your system configuration. Vercel handles this data on my behalf and takes part in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal ground is my legitimate interest in running a site that works and stays secure. For details, read Vercel’s privacy notice.

The fonts, images and scripts come from this site itself. Pages load nothing from other companies unless you allow analytics.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask me to:

  • show you the data I hold about you
  • correct or delete it
  • limit how I use it, or stop using it
  • send it to you in a format you can reuse

If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, send me a message. You can also file a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se.
